The main features of the book are the body of the text is more liberally illustrated by worked and unworked examples, both general and numerical. Some fresh material has been added, including vector proofs of various standard theorems in geometry, the solution of some vector equations, partly rectangular resolution of a vector, and a brief discussion of the motion of a top. Within the limits of a chapter, a few changes have been made in the order of presentation of the various topics, where rearrangement seemed desirable. In a few instances the original proof of a theorem has been replaced by a better one. Some sections have been entirely rewritten, and minor alterations made in others.
